I created this website after spending years on social media (Reddit, Twitter and Instagram) and realizing, THAT IT'S SHIT. Because the truth of the matter is that modern social media is the biggest failure of the Web 2.0. It strips away customization and replaces it with a husk of customization in the form of bios and profile pictures, it makes billions in profit by getting you waste hours of your life on their worthless websites, and they make those profits by learning literally more about you than you know about yourself. I don't believe in any of that manosphere crap because I'm not a man who's insecure about his masculinity now that women have rights, (Not even a man anymore) but if you ask this humble gal, the true way to "escape the matrix" is to just leave social media. I mean there is no better form of expression of self online than making a website, you learn tradeable skills like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, you can customize literally everything to your heart's content, you don't have to be bound to social media platform terms of service, and you can avoid ads since you own the site. My ultimate goal here is to get rid of all of my socials and have this and my youtube channel to be my sole online footprint. Because once again... Social Media IS SHIT, it is a hemorroid on the free and open internet, a degenerate mutation of web 2.0, and a gross amalgam of late stage capitalism that leeches off the individuality, creativity, and emotions of the lower classes for profit. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Reddit contribute abosolutely nothing of value to society, yet collectively generate billions of dollars. Billions that could go towards people who actually need it, but instead it goes to a bunch of braindead "Tech Evangelists" who have made what is essentially the worlds most profit efficient advertisment delivery and Data Extraction platform. To be honest I think it's time we go back to web 1.0 take DMs through emails, sms, and voip clients like discord and skype, replace social media with personal blogs made from scratch with html, and burn Facebook's And Twitter's headquarters to the ground, with Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg inside. For legal reasons, that last part was a joke, I am not the Unabomber, I'm a black middle class transfemme from California. To the FBI agents reading this, please do not take this as an actual threat. I DO NOT WISH VIOLENCE ON MARK ZUCKERBERG OR ELON MUSK NOR DO I WISH FOR ARSON TO BE COMMITTED AT THEIR WORKPLACES. All I'm saying is that if it happened, I would not shed a tear. I am, for the most part, a leftist. I believe the bare minimum of basic necessities (Housing, food, water, electricity, internet) should be guaranteed to all citizens. Everything else can be earned on your own. Standard Capitalist Firms should be phased out and replaced with worker owned co-ops where the workers truly own a piece of the means of production. I think we need to reject consumerism in order to prevent climate change by still having things, but making sure those things last for as long as possible while also using aluminum, paper, and wood instead of single use plastics and rejecting cars(gas and electric) and instead embracing Bikes, Public Transit and High Speed Rail. Also, fuck the Chinese Communist Party, Xi Xinping is a genocidal dictator who looks like Winnie The Pooh there is a genocide going on in Xinjang and we need to talk about it more. I am also pro-trans rights, obviously, and I believe gender is a social construct made to reinforce patriarchal hierarchies.
